It is an honor to welcome and invite you to the 7th Pan Arab Liver Transplantation Society Congress which will be held from January 25 – 27, 2018 in Al-Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The congress provides a platform to present recent advances in liver transplantation in the Arab countries.

It is with great pleasure to inform you that we have invited national and international renowned experts who are committed to provide the latest advances and state-of-the-art lectures and keynote discussions.

The program includes the most relevant and cutting edge science in the field of liver transplantation, bringing together professional healthcare physicians, clinicians, and researchers to enable them to exchange the latest innovation and studies in this field.

On behalf of the scientific committee of the 7th Pan Arab Liver Transplantation Society Congress , It is my pleasure to invite you to the 7th PALTS Congress, which will be held this year in Le Meridien , Al-Khobar from 25th to 27th January 2018.

PALTS aims to encourage cooperation and exchange of knowledge and expertise among liver transplant centers in the Arab countries in order to provide the best possible care to our patients.

This year, the congress will cover different aspects in liver transplantation in case based learning sessions that will be discussed in multidisciplinary team panel by experts from various specialties including transplant surgeons, adult and pediatric hepatologists, gastroenterologists, transplant anesthesiologist, radiologist, intensivists and pathologists. The speakers will also discuss the status of the liver transplant programs in the Arab countries as well as challenges faced particularly in this region.  The congress will include state of the art lectures by renowned speakers, update presentations on transplant related topics, interactive sessions, debate sessions and abstracts presentation.

Dear PALTS members,

The next PALTS general assembly meeting will take place during the proceedings of 7th Pan Arab Liver Transplant Society Congress that will be held on 25-27 January 2018 at Al-Khobar in Saudi Arabia.

The meeting’s agenda will include the election of new council members for the following vacant positions:

President-elect who will assume PALTS presidency after two years (January 2020)

Nine (9) Councilors who will serve for two-year term starting January 2018

If you are interested in applying to any of the above named positions, please send us an email indicating the council position that you wish to apply for and copy of your updated CV. The deadline for submitting applications is on Friday, 12 January 2018.

The nominating committee will review all applications and make a recommendation to the council. The nominating committee seeks to maintain gender, geographical and specialty balance. Please find attached a copy of PALTS Bylaws for your reference.

As per PALTS bylaws, applicants must be regular PALTS members at time of application (List of all regular members is available at our website:

About The Congress

The 7th Pan Arab Liver Transplantation Society Congress was established in 2006. The Society  provide  a platform to exchange and promote knowledge and to enhance safe clinical practice of liver transplantation in the Arab countries.

7th PALTS Congress is the largest gathering of liver transplantation clinicians in the Middle East and North Africa region. The Congress is designed for all healthcare workers who are interested in the clinical aspects of liver transplantation. It will provides current information about the practice in different Arab centers. The Congress will also act as a forum for current scientific knowledge exchange as there will be regional and international experts attending the Congress.
